Ross Brawn is considered one of the most ingenious strategists and motorsport car designers in the history of Formula 1. When he joined the Benetton team in 1991, it wasn’t a contender, but with his skills, the team won back-to-back championships in 1994 and 1995 with Michael Schumacher as the driver.

The word “formula” comes from Latin, and it means the form or shape (mold) of an object. Formula 1 cars are driven by experts and are designed under strict regulations that all teams must adhere to.

The 1994 and 1995 championships are very controversial. At the outset of the 1994 season, Ayrton Senna became suspicious about Michael’s car. He used to stand at curbs and chicanes during practices and heard very distinct sounds coming from the Benetton that convinced him Ross Brawn and the engineering team were bending the rules and perhaps even cheating.

The team principal was and is a known cheat. His name is Flavio Briatore, and he will do ANYTHING to win – and I mean ANYTHING.

He is the Lance Armstrong of Formula 1, SQUARED.

After Schumacher moved to Ferrari, he couldn’t replicate his Benneton success in the beginning. In the year 2000, with Ross Brawn moving to Ferrari, they used every loophole known to man to build a car that competitors could not match. Allegations and rumors of cheating were rampant throughout Ferrari’s reign in the early 2000s, which is part of the reason why few drivers will say he’s one of their role models. His reputation is just too murky.

Ross Brawn built an independent team in 2009 named after him, Brawn GP, and it barely found sponsors. Despite being accused of cheating by all the other teams, the FIA approved his car design. Later, in his team’s first and ONLY year in Formula 1, they won the championship!

Why am I telling you all of this? Because you can’t afford to play by the rules in the world of cutthroat geopolitics where there’s a real risk that a neighboring country will invade, butcher, murder, conquer your land, bomb the hell out of you, attack you with sophisticated cyber warfare, or use chemical, biological, or atomic bombs.

When you face existential threat and the leader of a country has to protect citizens from an adversary that bypasses the rules or doesn’t even consider them as applicable to them, only the weak-minded and clueless shout “foul play.”

There is one language spoken among nations: power and deterrence. If your enemies can’t make you think twice about the consequences of attacking you or going after you, they smell weakness and will proceed. You can cry until Judgment Day that this should not be happening to you because you’re a nice person and surely something must be done, but the only realistic action is to never allow this to occur in the first place.

Every day, at any given second, including for the past ten minutes that you’ve been reading this, China’s hackers have been hard at work looking for ways to enter critical American infrastructure and plant malware. China’s drug smugglers, sponsored by the CCP, have been shipping synthetic amphetamines to Mexican cartels to infect youth in the inner cities. China’s propaganda arm has been planting ideas in the minds of “useful idiots” in the woke left with anti-American biases because those numbnuts will believe anything.

Wake up! You’re already at war, and the more you look confused and uninspiring, the more it motivates America’s enemies to double down.
