The People Have Spoken: Revolution Everywhere

As I write this, headphones on, listening to some of the best music I love meditating to, windows shut and A/C cranking on freezing temperature, on a workday, thousands of people are rioting just 100 meters outside of my house.

A government building is located in close proximity and even though it’s over 30 degrees Celsius right now, they are screaming their lungs out and demanding the government stop changing the rules and moving the goalposts.

From France to Israel, it’s gotten so bad that there’s a global riot tracker, indicating 400 major ones happening simultaneously.

HERE it is.

We seem to be like infants, crying in the night, as Bob Dylan says, just waking up to our true potential, not yet realizing how to live in harmony with each other. We’re like a magnificent yacht, filled with fuel, ready to cruise the oceans, yet blown by the winds somehow, directionless.

Politicians, trying to make sense of it all while dreading the mob, deploy even more power and unleash restrictions and laws to quell the revolt, prompting even more violence, like caged animals wishing to be released into the wild.

Clinging onto something that would unify the populous, each country is trying to understand what the citizens have in common.

Before modern democracies, which formed around the notion that we share common heritage, folklore and destiny, people bent around the church, which was their connection with God.

As the enlightenment era in Europe dusted off the books of old, reimagining the philosophies of the Ancient Greeks, explaining that humans aren’t so different from each other, but are the same everywhere, monarchs held a degree of holiness, which was yet another false bubble that was pricked.

It’s a story that has filled the pages of encyclopedias since the beginning of the human experience and we seem to be marching towards a different mechanism after which humans flock, as modern countries are falling apart.

Can you see past the structure of modern-day nation states?

In the remote parts of Indonesia, a group of about 3,000 people did see well beyond the traditional means of diving, and with an air compressor tied to a garden hose, they dive up to five hours at a time, just to fish, feed their families and sell the rest on the market.

Every night, the men risk their lives for fish.

Westerners, coming to document and film it, are in awe of the risk management and the normalcy of the practice.
Humans can become accustomed to breathing through air compressors that can stop at any moment and to garden hoses that can snap and feel like that’s somehow fine…

If you don’t realize that the world is on the verge of a seismic event, you’re not conscious of the clues: war in Europe, NATO expansion, Taiwanese chips, Iran’s nuclear plans; go country by country, and you’ll see that we are in reset mode.

The more chaos there is, the more governments will over-reach, until the pain threshold is met and revolution begins. Then, fatigue kicks in and both sides are ready to talk, forming the new structure.

    Welcome to the reset.

The Wagner Group is comprised of about 50,000 soldiers. While I was in the French Alps in late June, my phone blew up with breaking news alerts about an armed rebellion in Russia led by Yevgeny Prigozhin (we know what happened to him…). When he left his battle station along with some 20,000 mercenaries after months of criticism directed towards the Kremlin, he attempted to storm the capital.
